Incident commander
On the IC laptop
- Connect the laptop to the section network.
- Double click
CBP-HQ.exe. - Type your team, for example
CPT 1. Press Enter twice. - The app opens. Enter your name and callsign.
- Show the Section panel on screen: QR code, address and access code.
Section member
Phone or laptop, nothing to install
- Connect to the same network as the IC.
- Scan the QR code, or type the address shown, for example
cpt1.local:8443. - Check the certificate fingerprint matches the IC screen, then accept.
- Check the team name, then enter the access code, your name and callsign.
Run the incident
Order depends on the situation
- IC: warning order, orders, declare.
- Everyone: record findings, RFIs and SITREPs as you go.
- Everyone: acknowledge every order and task banner.
- IC: stand down, then Export to PowerPoint.
- IC: End session. Memory is wiped.
Cannot connect?
- IC: open the Section panel and press Fix it.
- Name does not open? Type the IP address instead.
- iPhone will not sync? Work solo and press Send to IC.
Remember
- Keep the HQ window open. Closing it ends the session.
- Never use the compromised network for the section.
- Export before you end the session. Nothing is saved after.
