Quick start

Incident commander

On the IC laptop
  1. Connect the laptop to the section network.
  2. Double click CBP-HQ.exe.
  3. Type your team, for example CPT 1. Press Enter twice: no White Cell, no passphrase.
  4. The app opens. Enter your name and callsign.
  5. Show the Section panel on screen: QR code, address and access code.

Section member

Phone or laptop, nothing to install
  1. Connect to the same network as the IC.
  2. Scan the QR code, or type the address shown, for example cpt1.local:8443.
  3. Check the certificate fingerprint matches the IC screen, then accept.
  4. Check the team name, then enter the access code, your name and callsign.

Run the incident

Order depends on the situation
  1. IC: warning order, orders, declare.
  2. Everyone: record findings, RFIs and SITREPs as you go.
  3. Everyone: acknowledge every order and task banner.
  4. IC: stand down, then Export to PowerPoint.
  5. IC: End session when the exercise is over. The saved copy is deleted.

Cannot connect?

  • IC: open the Section panel and press Fix it.
  • Name does not open? Type the IP address instead.
  • iPhone will not sync? Work solo and press Send to IC.

Remember

  • Stopping for the night? IC presses Pause session. Next morning, start CBP-HQ.exe and type the session number.
  • Never use the compromised network for the section.
  • Export the PowerPoint before End session.
